The property is tucked away off the high street down a gated alleyway. When you walk into the large living area you are instantly struck by the fantastic views of the river. You couldn’t be any closer to the water.
The living area is open plan and very comfortable. Open the large patio doors and you feel like you are sitting on the edge of the river watching all the comings and goings on the water right in front of you. You can choose to dine inside or out on the terrace, both have terrific views.
The kitchen is modern, well equipped and should impress any budding chef.
You will also find a very useful utility room with washing machine, dryer and under counter fridge on the ground floor.
Venture upstairs to the first floor and you will discover the amazing master bedroom with its stunning views, roll top bath and ensuite shower room. Open the French doors onto the balcony and there isn’t a better place in Fowey to sit and enjoy your morning coffee. Also on this floor you will find the second bedroom, which has a Jack and Jill family bathroom.
On the second floor, there are a further two bedrooms and a toilet with washbasin. The bedroom to the front of the property, once again, has incredible river views. The beds in all the bedrooms are zip linked and can be made into two singles or a Super King size bed.
Being in the center of town, Somerset House is only the shortest of walks from the many pubs restaurants and shops that Fowey has to offer.
Readymoney Beach, which is just a few minutes walk away, is perfect to spend the day with a picnic, building sand castles, playing boules and swimming to the floating platform to sunbath.
Or you could take a boat up river for the day, spending time kayaking, exploring areas you can’t always get to by road. Then there are the many walks in and around Fowey, the Hall Walk, the coastal path, or across to Polkerris and Lantic Bay.
Whatever you choose to do during your stay in Fowey, Somerset House is the perfect place to end the day.
