Terms and Conditions

1. I understand that bookings can only be effected by returning the Booking Form accompanied by deposit of 30% of the total rent due. The remainder is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival. Please check availability before completing the booking form.
2. In the event of cancellation you will be liable for the total amount. However we will endeavour to re-let your cottage and if this is possible we will reimburse you 75% of the total price plus the surety. We do advise that you take out Holiday Cancellation Insurance as a Safeguard.
3. The proprietors reserve the right to refuse any bookings or to cancel any bookings already made subject to refunding any sums you have paid without further liability on your behalf.
4. The proprietors reserve the right to terminate your stay if you or members of your party are believed to be causing a nuisance to the other guests or not treating the property with due respect.
5. I understand that the surety of £150 is required; this will be returned within 14 days of the end of the holiday, less any cost of extra cleaning, rectifying losses, breakages or damage caused by any member of my party during our term of occupancy.
6. I understand to leave the cottage and contents clean and tidy on vacation (costs will be deducted from surety if the cottage is left in a unacceptable state and requires additional cleaning). I understand I will be charged for any items missing from my cottage even if they have been moved to another cottage (this includes any kitchen items)
7. I agree that neither Fowey Cottages nor any person in their employ will be liable for any loss, damage, sickness or injury howsoever caused which may be sustained by me, or any member of my party, or any person who I might invite to the cottage and the grounds of their property during the period booked.
8. All facilities at Fowey Cottages are for the use of guests only.
9. Bookings are for a minimum of one week’s duration from 3pm on the day of arrival to 10am of the day of departure. Letting generally start on a Saturday afternoon and finish on the Saturday morning, except for a weekend, midweek or other agreed period. Short breaks can be arranged at a minimum of 5/7ths if the weeks rent subject to availability.
10. The proprietors reserve the right to enter the property during your stay.
11. Smoking is strictly forbidden inside the cottages.
12. The proprietors reserve the right to cancel any bookings if it subsequently transpires that the above mentioned conditions have not been observed.
13. The proprietors hold a telephone booking for 4 working days, until a booking form and a deposit equal to 30% of the full rent due is received.
14. Once a booking is accepted, a contract for the occupations has been agreed. The balance of the rent is due within 8 weeks before the start of the holiday, for which no reminder is necessarily sent.
15. Bookings made within 8 weeks of occupation require the full payment that the time of the booking.
16. Not to allow a pet into the property unless first notified to and then agreed by the proprietors. Pets are not allowed on the chairs or beds, and are never to be left unattended in the proper
17. Pets are allowed. A weekly charge is made for each pet. The proprietors of Fowey Cottages are not liable for any damage caused to property or humans by pets.
18. Electricity and oil are included in the price of the Cottage.
19. The proprietors make every effort that the information given on the website and in other literature in relation to the properties are accurate and complete, but reserve the right to rearrange furniture, make improvements and redecorate.
20. The person signing the booking form must be a member of the party intending to occupy, be over 18 years old and certify that he or she is authorised to agree the booking conditions on behalf of all persons included on the booking form, including those he or she may represent & substitute or add at a later date.
