Fowey makes a fantastic base, and a great place to return to, if you are exploring Cornwall’s beauty spots.
Just a stones throw away on the river, you have the village of Golant with Pub, restaurant and church. Travel in the opposite direction and you will discover a fishing village called Polkerris with a great beach, restaurant and pub.
Fowey is also close to the world famous Eden Project, which is always worth a visit, Lostwithiel full of Antique shops and Restormel Castle.
Then there is the South coast, full of tiny coves, Pridmouth, Lansallos with a water fall, and Lantic bay all of which you can get to by walking over the cliffs or by boat if you are lucky enough to have a friend with one.
Then there is Bodmin Moor, for the keen walkers, and the Beaches on the north coast with Newquey town beach, Fristral where the surfing championships are held and of course the lovely Watergate bay, These beaches are long and sandy, where the tide goes out for miles.
Hope you have a good holiday, and if you find more places that you think should be listed in Cornwall’s beauty spots, let us know.
